Hyderabad: The food safety task force teams conducted inspections at popular restaurants Hakuna Matata Kitchen in Gachibowli and Tabula Rasa in Nanakramguda on Monday.

The former failed to display a true copy of its FSSAI license, while its food handlers were working without headgear, gloves and aprons. The eatery had no pest control measures. Additionally, they did not have medical fitness certificates for food handlers or pest control records. Raw materials and semi-prepared food items were not covered or labeled properly.

Similar issues were also noticed in Tabula Rasa, including lack of medical fitness certificates for food handlers. Moreover, expired prawns and Turkish milk were found, while open dustbins had house flies all over. However, Tabula Rasa did have proper labeling, covers on stored food articles and availability of pest control records.
