3 Mysuru Girls Drown in Swimming Pool at Mangaluru Resort

Mangaluru: Tragedy struck at a resort near Mangaluru on Sunday morning as three girls from Mysuru drowned in the swimming pool.
City Police Commissioner Anupam Agarwal said that the victims have been identified as Keerthana N (21), Nishitha MD (21), and Parvathi S (20), all residents of Mysuru.
According to the preliminary report, the incident occurred around 10.05 am at Vazco Beach Resort in Someshwara village, about 20 km from Mangaluru City, while the trio had entered the pool.
The girls, students of a Mysuru-based institution, had checked into the resort on Saturday. CCTV footage of the incident, which has since gone viral on social media, shows one of the girls venturing into the deeper side of the pool and beginning to drown. The other two followed in an attempt to rescue her but tragically met the same fate.
Police have informed the victims' families, and further details are expected to emerge as their families provide additional information.
Preliminary investigations revealed that the girls had told their families they were going on a tour.
Authorities have sealed the Vazco Beach Resort in Someshwara following the drowning of three girls in the swimming pool.
Mangaluru Sub-Divisional Officer stated that the resort's trade license and tourism permit have been suspended.
