Litterateur to inaugurate Mysore Dasara on Oct. 3

BENGALURU: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Friday announced litterateur Dr Hampa Nagarajaiah (88), popularly known as Hampana, to inaugurate the forthcoming Mysore Dasara atop Chamundi Hill on October 3.

Earlier, the high power committee on Mysore Dasara had entrusted the responsibility on Chief Minister to choose the dignitary to inaugurate Mysuru Dasara. Nagarajaiah told reporters he was surprised by his selection to do the honours and stated happy to inaugurate the Dasara festivities on behalf of all Kannadigas. The State Government decided to hold Mysore Dasara festivities for 10-days on a grand scale.
