Belagavi: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah assured that the state government is prepared for a discussion on the Waqf Board and to respond to the opposition's queries in the legislature.
He was speaking to reporters at Circuit House on Monday.
Chief Minister Siddaramaiah responded to state minority commission former chairperson and BJP leader Anwar Manippady’s recent claim denying his earlier allegation that BY Vijayendra offered him Rs 150 crore to remain silent on Waqf Board property encroachments.
“We have responded to his earlier claims where he himself admitted to receiving offers. I believe our response to his press conference was appropriate. Now, after so many years, he claims he did not say this. You tell me, what should be done?” he asked the media.
Responding to Union Minister Pralhad Joshi’s demand that the Chief Minister apologize for the problems that arose during the Panchamasali community’s agitation for inclusion in the 2A reservation category, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah attacked the BJP, “The ones who failed to resolve this issue in the past should be the ones to apologize.”
