Rs 15000 crore revenue collected this fiscal: Byre Gowda
The minister stated that a 20 percent increase in revenue collection targets has been set for the current year
Belagavi: Revenue Minister Krishna Byre Gowda has stated that the state has collected Rs 15,145.32 crore in revenue so far this fiscal year, with expectations of surpassing last year’s collection.
Responding to a starred question by member Shashil G Namoshi in the Legislative Council, the minister stated that a 20 percent increase in revenue collection targets has been set for the current year.
During the era of physical khata registrations in the state, fraudulent practices were prevalent. Measures have since been implemented to curb such practices.
"The introduction of the e-Khata system has significantly reduced such practices. The number of illegal and forged document registrations has declined, and genuine property registrations are now taking place without causing any revenue loss to the government,” he said.
