Thiruvananthapuram: Many parts of the state, particularly the northern districts, are likely to receive heavy to very heavy rainfall in the coming days.

The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted significant downpours in Central and northern Kerala.
Malappuram is on red alert on Saturday, while Kottayam, Ernakulam, Idukki, Kozhikode, Wayanad, Kannur, and Kasaragod districts have been issued an orange alert. Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Thrissur, and Palakkad districts are on yellow alert.
A red alert for extremely heavy rainfall has been declared in the districts of Kozhikode, Wayanad, and Kannur for Sunday (June 23), with predictions of isolated torrential downpours.
Over 204.4 mm of rain is anticipated in the next 24 hours. An orange alert has been declared for Ernakulam, Idukki, Thrissur, Palakkad, Malappuram, and Kasaragod districts. Concurrently, a yellow alert is in effect for the districts of Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, and Kottayam for the same period.

The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an orange alert for the districts, forecasting heavy to very heavy rainfall at isolated locations. A Very Heavy Rainfall warning indicates expected rainfall amounts ranging from 115.6 mm to 204.4 mm within 24 hours.

June 26: Pathanamthitta, Kottayam, Ernakulam, Idukki, Thrissur, Palakkad, Malappuram, Kozhikode, Wayanad, Kasaragod
The IMD has issued a yellow alert in these districts. The possibility of isolated heavy rains is predicted. Heavy rainfall means a situation where rainfall ranges from 64.5 mm to 115.5 mm in 24 hours.
