Minister Ponguleti Reviews Warangal Development Projects, Sets Deadlines

Hyderabad/ Warangal: The deputy collectors association met the revenue minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy and sought promotions for all those eligible. They said this would help in strengthening the revenue administration at the village level.

They congratulated Srinivas Reddy and lauded the newly drafted ROR Act, 2024 and said it would help farmers and people and be emulated as the best in the country. They thanked the minister for promoting nine tahsildars as deputy collectors. The minister thanked the officers for aiding the preparation of the ROR Act.

The officials sought clearance for the long pending vehicle bills from Srinivas Reddy and sought steps for strengthening of the revenue department at the local level. Those who met the minister included deputy collector’s association president V. Latchi Reddy and secretary K. Rama Krishna

Srinivas Reddy separately held a review meeting with endowment minister Konda Surekha here on Tuesday, and said that the Congress government is taking every step to ensue all round development of the historical Warangal city and officials of various departments must work accordingly.

Acquire land from farmers without creating inconvenience to them for outer, inner ring roads and for Mamnoor airport. They should meet the airport authorities and R&B officials for the establishment of the airport at Mamnoor, he said.

The minister laid deadlines for completion of work under the Smart City project by December 31 and the construction work of Kaloji Kalakshetram by August 20. The development of the historical Sri Bhadrakali Devi temple as per Agama Shastra along with construction of Mada Veedulu surrounding the temple with establishment of a rock basement.

He asked officials to prepare a list of companies that function in Kakatiya Mega Textile Park and verify the jobs they provide to local youths. Take steps for running the medical college at Narsampet from this academic year, he ordered.

Warangal is the second largest city and is one of the fastest growing cities in the state. The officials must prepare a master plan keeping in view its population by 2050. In the master plan, there must be a pharma city, IT services and manufacturing units, tourism, and establishment of dumping yards by identifying land between Warangal and Khammam districts, he said.
