Naidu Government Sacks Retired Staff Re-appointed

Vijayawada: The Andhra Pradesh government on Thursday issued a note terminating the services of retired officers / staff who had been re-appointed.

In a note, chief secretary Neerabh Kumar Prasad asked all special chief secretaries, principal secretaries and secretaries to government to send a list of all retired government officers / employees, who had been re-employed in their departments.

The CS said all such re-employed officers should be directed to tender their resignations with immediate effect. “Such resignations shall be accepted as per rules,” he stated.

Neerabh Prasad asked officials to submit their compliance report to General Administration Department by June 24.

The CS said if services of such retired officers / employees are essential for their departments, they must obtain a fresh order from the competent authority duly following the relevant business rules.
