Grievance Day Initiative Launched in 32 Mandals of Nalgonda
Nalgonda: A large number of people submitted memorandums and complaints to officials at the grievance day (Prajavani) in Tasildar offices of 32 mandals in Nalgonda, which was launched on Monday.
Earlier, the grievance day was conducted at the district collectorate only every Monday. After taking charge as the district collector, C. Narayana Reddy announced an initiative to conduct a grievance day at all mandal headquarters.
Attending the grievance day at Chinthapally, the district collector said that the mandal-level officers should thoroughly examine the grievances received and take immediate steps to solve them.
A coordination meeting should also be conducted at the mandal headquarters in the afternoon of every Monday to discuss the village-wise grievances, he added.
Stating that panchayat secretaries have a key role to play in implementation of welfare schemes of the state government, he said that transparency should be ensured in selection of welfare schemes.
