Hyderabad: With Independence Day celebrations in the air, Ravindra Bharathi resonated with sounds of unity and diversity during 11th season of 'One World Fusion 2024,' at a spectacular event organised by

Sangitanjaly Foundation, jointly with the Telangana Tourism department and the state government.

Organised in aid of Autism Ashram, the recently held concert was a magnificent ode to India's cultural richness.

The event was inaugurated by Dr Mammidi Harikrishna, director of language and culture. Speaking on the occasion, he remarked, "The One World Fusion is a classic symbol of national unity. It is the icing on the cake for I-Day celebrations as it involves artists from diverse regions of the country, each playing different genres, using varied instruments and voices, yet harmonising and blending together like a rainbow, offering a soulful rendition."

Curated by Abhijeeth Bhattacharjee and GIMA award winner Pt Prodyut Mukherjee, the concert was a blend of melody and rhythm, drawn from Indian, western and Bollywood numbers.

Bhattacharjee described the event as "a fusion of impromptu improvisations and maintaining the aesthetic essence of music without compromise."

The concert commenced with a fusion piece from the GIMA award-winning album ‘Rhythm Express – Moods.’

The audience was treated to captivating performances like ‘Within You,’ ‘Romance,’ and the evocative ‘Meeting by the River.’ The crescendo was courtesy of Grammy winner Pandit Vishwa Mohan Bhatt, who mesmerised the audience with his Mohan Veena renditions, while Pt Prodyut Mukherjee held his own on the tabla.
