BJP Tamil Nadu president K Annamalai alleged that Kerala has been using Tamil Nadu’s border districts as dumping grounds for biomedical, plastic, and meat waste. He urged the DMK government to take immediate action to prevent the neighboring state from discarding its waste in Tamil Nadu.
Annamalai warned that if Kerala continues this practice, he would arrange for the waste to be sent back to the state.
He accused Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin of compromising the state's interests, including on issues like Cauvery water, to favor political allies. "The DMK government has allowed border districts to be turned into garbage dumping yards for Kerala," he said in a post on X (formerly Twitter).

Additionally, Annamalai claimed that the state government was ignoring illegal smuggling of minerals from Tenkasi and Kanyakumari districts to Kerala. "Despite repeated complaints to authorities and the Chief Minister's Special Cell, no action has been taken. This is happening with the full knowledge of the DMK government," he alleged.
Annamalai called for urgent intervention to address the waste dumping and protect Tamil Nadu's border districts.
