Senthil Balaji Predicts a DMK Sweep in 2026
He accused Palaniswami of destroying the party that came to him on a platter like a monkey would do with a garland.;

Chennai: The pro-incumbency wave sweeping through the State, enabling the victory of the DMK in the recent Erode East Assembly by-election, would continue to ensure a thumping majority for the party in the 2026 General Elections to the State Assembly, Electricity Minister V Senthil Balaji said on Wednesday.
Attributing the party’s triumph in Erode East to the hard and dedicated work of Chief Minister M K Stalin and the success of the Dravidian Model governance in the State, Senthil Balaji put up a post on his X page, pointing the people chasing away those who denigrated Periyar E V Ramasamy.
All the votes in Erode East came the DMK way because the Chief Minister had assured that his government would strive for the welfare of not just those who voted for his party but also those who did not vote and worked that way, he said.
The same wind in favour of Stalin would blow across the State in the 2026 Assembly election and the DMK would emerge triumphant, he said.
Taking a dig at AIADMK general secretary Edappadi K Palaniswami, the Minister said that he was unable to face the people and take on the DMK and hence hid away during the election fearing one more defeat as he had been seeing one after the other.
He accused Palaniswami of destroying the party that came to him on a platter like a monkey would do with a garland.
