The AIADMK's general and executive council meeting being held in Chennai on Sunday, witnessed moments of tension as cadres without invitation passes were denied entry, according to local media reports. The meeting, chaired by party Presidium Chairman Tamil Magan Hussain, was the first since Edappadi K. Palaniswami's election as AIADMK general secretary.

To ensure order, entry was strictly restricted to members with valid invitation passes. However, several cadres who were not issued passes gathered outside the venue, demanding entry. The situation escalated as they argued with bouncers and security personnel, causing a brief commotion, reports added.
