Telangana: 10.3 Lakh Cases Settled at Lok Adalat

Hyderabad: A total of 10,35,520 cases were disposed of in the district courts and at the High Court during the National Lok Adalat conducted by Telangana State Legal Services Authority on Saturday. An amount of Rs.750 crore was awarded as compensation to the beneficiaries in the settled cases.

Of the cases settled, 5,81,611 were at the pre-litigation stage and 4,53,909 were pending in court.

In the Telangana High Court, the Lok Adalat benches were presided by Justice Kaja Sarath and Justice J. Srinivasa Rao. Around 132 pending cases were disposed of and Rs.9 crore awarded as compensation.
