Telangana: High Court Bars Cops from Arresting Accused
Hyderabad: Justice K. Sujana of Telangana High Court directed Laxmanchanda police to follow the procedure and issue notice to the accused and not arrest two persons allegedly involved in a clash between two communities in Nirmal district.
The judge passed the order in a criminal petition filed by Saikam Srikanth & Gudla Ranjeeth, who are accused in a case under attempt to murder. Senior counsel L Ravichander pointed out that complaint shows that it was tailored at the instance of third parties. He pointed out the inordinate delay in lodging of the complaint of the alleged incident. It is the case of the petitioners that a mere reading of the factual allegations would point out that no offence was made out as there was no intent to kill the victim and that he only suffered some minor injuries in the hip.
