WARANGAL: A review meeting was held on the restoration works of the Bhadrakali Lake, road widening works, the establishment of parking places, veg and non-veg markets along with the distribution of double-bedroom houses under the leadership of Warangal West MLA Naini Rajendar Reddy in Hanamkonda on Monday.

Speaking on the occasion, MLA Rajendar Reddy directed the officials to take up road widening works of five major roads, including those of CPO office to MGM, Hanuman temple to Alankar junction, Congress Bhavan to KUC road, Ambedkar junction to NGO’s colony and Kazipet junction to Somdi, keeping in the view of heavy traffic in the tri-cities of Hanamkonda, Warangal and Kazipet as per the new master plan. During the road widening, the roadside vendors shall be shifted to integrated veg and non-veg markets, developed with an investment of `9.4 crore, directed the MLA.

The MLA told the officials to appoint special officers to all the 26 divisions in the Warangal West assembly constituency and take measures for the distribution of double-bedroom houses to eligible beneficiaries by the coming Sankranti. He also ordered them to hand over the soil obtained from restoration works of the Bhadrakali Lake to farmers.

KUDA chairman Enagala Venkatram Reddy, district collector P. Praveenya, GWMC commissioner Ashwini Tanaji and city mayor Gundu Sudharani along with officials of the various concerned departments were present in the review meeting.
