Hyderabad: Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Friday said that the Congress government would fill an additional 30,000 government jobs in the next 90 days. He stated that the Congress government already filled 60,000 government jobs in the last six months.
With this, he said the Congress government will complete the process of filling 90,000 vacancies in government departments within a year of coming to power.
The Chief Minister attended the passing out parade of the fourth batch of directly-recruited firemen in the fire service department on Friday. In his address, Revanth Reddy extended his heartfelt congratulations to the newly-recruited firemen, acknowledging their hardwork and dedication throughout their training period.
Revanth Reddy criticised the previous BRS government for not meeting the aspirations of the youth, who were actively involved in the Telangana movement. He highlighted the efforts of the current Congress government in addressing unemployment.
"I appreciate all of you for stepping forward to serve society. My government is committed to working in alignment with the people's expectations. As part of this commitment, we have allocated the highest amount of funds to education and agriculture in the budget," he said.
Revanth Reddy highlighted the government's focus on the education, medical, and health sectors, which have been given top priority in the budget. He reassured government employees that their salaries are being paid on the first day of every month, fostering a sense of confidence and security.
Referring to recent protests calling for the postponement of certain recruitment exams, the Chief Minister urged the youth not to protest but to engage directly with ministers to discuss their concerns. He assured that genuine issues brought to the government's attention would be resolved with commitment.
"We will continue the recruitment process in all departments regularly. I urge all unemployed youth to voice their concerns to their MLAs and Ministers. I will always be available to address everyone's grievances," Revanth Reddy said.
