Hyderabad: The Saidabad police booked a case against four members of a family from Karanbagh for threatening a woman claiming to be the followers of dreaded gangster late Nayeemuddin and pressurizing them to her house. The case was booked under Sections 79, 115 (2), 351 (2) read with 3(5) of BNS.

In the complaint, Errolla Anuradha, a resident of Sri Lakshmi apartment at Karanbagh in Saidabad, stated that P. Srihari and his family had been pressuring her family to sell the house for the past two years. On multiple occasions, they even threatened to kill her family if they refused to sell.

When she told them that they were not willing to sell their house, Srihari and his family bore a grudge against them. Around 6 pm on February 9, Srihari along with his wife and son and daughter came to Anuradha’s house and confronted them demanding to sell her house, according to the complaint.

When she refused, Srihari’s family members attacked her and her son Shyam Sunder Reddy, and son-in-law Santosh. They even assaulted her pregnant daughter-in-law without any concern for her condition. During the attack, Srihari and his family abused them, claiming, “They are followers of Naxalite Nayeem. Let’s see what she can do against them!” Anuradha said in the complaint.

Anuradha further stated that the delay in filing the complaint was that her family was occupied with preparations for her son’s wedding and added that Srihari’s family threatened them, saying, “If they don’t sell the house, they will kill them. They will also file an atrocity case against the entire family and send them to jail. They gave them one month to vacate the house, warning that they have no problem in killing the entire family.”

“As we are living in constant fear due to threats from Srihari and his family, we request the police to ensure protection and take necessary action against them,” Anuradha said.
