AAI Team To Check Kothagudem for New Airport

 Bhadradri: An team of officials from the Airport Authority of India (AAI) will visit Kothagudem to identify a suitable location for establishing a new airport.

Agriculture minister Tummala Nageswara Rao announced that AAI officials are scheduled to inspect the areas of Kothagudem, Chunchupally, and Sujathanagar, all in close proximity to the district headquarters. The purpose of the visit is to assess the feasibility of setting up an airport in the region. He informed that the state government has received confirmation from the Centre regarding the AAI team’s upcoming visit to Kothagudem.

The minister also instructed district authorities to arrange a comprehensive tour for the AAI officials in Kothagudem. Additionally, he revealed plans to declare a municipal corporation by merging Palvancha and Kothagudem.
