ACB books case against Kothagudem Panchayat Secretary
Hyderabad: Telangana Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Tuesday registered a case of criminal misconduct against Pullaiah, a Panchayath Secretary of Regalia Grama Panchayathi in Laxmidevipalli Mandal in Bhadradri Kothagudem district.
The case was booked for allegedly demanding a bribe of Rs.18.000 from a complainant to show official favor for issuing a No Objection Certificate required for an electricity meter connection for the new house being constructed in the name of the complainant's mother, Kanthi.
The ACB officials said Pullaiah acted dishonestly in the exercise of his official duties to obtain undue advantage for himself. The details of the complainant are not being revealed due to security reasons. The ACB said Pullaiah was being arrested and will be produced before the special court for ACB cases in Warangal.
