Hyderabad: The sleuths of Telangana Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) here on Tuesday carried out raids on the house of Central Crime Station (CSS) Assistant Commissioner of Police Uma Maheswara Rao for allegedly possessing disproportionate assets.

Special teams conducted raids at the residence of the ACP in Ashok Nagar apart from simultaneous raids at his relatives and friends' houses elsewhere in the city and the State.

The raids were conducted following allegations that the ACP has not only amassed disproportionate assets but also maintained links with Sahithi Infra Company, which is facing a criminal case for allegedly committing fraudulent activities from June 2019 to 2022.

They were also all allegations that Rao allegedly involved in settlements with the help of persons known to him benefitting a real-estate company. He reportedly tried to influence a senior police official in the same issue but subsequently drew criticism from him.
