Hyderabad: BJP vice-president D.K Aruna advised the Congress government not to be stubborn over setting up a pharma companies cluster at Lagcherla in Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy’s constituency Kodangal, and respect the public opinion in the five villages that have been vehemently opposing the proposed acquisition of 3,000 acres in two phases.

Addressing a press conference, Aruna, the Mahbubnagar MP, said the BJP was not against setting up pharma cluster, but wanted it to be located away from habitations. She said she would visit Lagacherla on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, IT minister D. Sridhar Babu said that the state government will expose the people behind the attack and how it was premeditated 10 days ago. He said some people had instigated the innocent farmers and the government would conduct a probe to identify the guilty.

Stating that some people who lost power had been consistently creating trouble, Sridhar Babu said that the government was not interested in politicising all the incidents. The pharma cluster in Lagacherla will provide employment to over 10,000 people, he said.
