Karimnagar: BRS leaders, joined by farmers, staged protests in Karimnagar and Warangal districts, accusing the Congress government of betraying farmers by failing to fulfil pre-election promises.

In Karimnagar, the protest led by town president Challa Hari Shankar was held at Telangana Chowk. In Hanamkonda, former government chief whip Dasyam Vinay Bhaskar and other leaders were detained while trying to submit a representation at the Kaloji statue. Similarly, former KUDA chairman Marri Yadav Reddy and others were arrested while trying to bury Congress’ Warangal Declaration Papers at Arts and Science College grounds.

BRS leaders alleged the Congress reneged on its promise of providing Rs 7,500 per acre for one crop and Rs 15,000 for two crops, instead announcing Rs 12,000 for two crops. They criticised the Congress for spreading "false propaganda" about the state’s finances and demanded apologies from Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, AICC leader Rahul Gandhi, and other ministers for misleading farmers.
