Charger Dispute Leads to Murder in Dundigal

Hyderabad:Dundigal police said they had arrested 37-year-old Kamal Kumar for allegedly murdering a woman on Saturday in Dundigal reportedly over a dispute over a mobile phone charger.

Police said Kamal Kumar, a Dundigal resident originally from Warangal, had visited the house of the victim, Shanthi, believing he had lost his charger there.

According to Medchal DCP N. Koti Reddy, Kamal Kumar accused Shanthi of stealing his charger. An argument ensued during which Kamal Kumar allegedly assaulted her. As Shanthi began to shout for help, Kamal Kumar covered her mouth with his hand and suffocated her. She died during the struggle.

Police said Kumar left the woman's body in her hut and fled to Warangal. The following day, police discovered Shanthi’s body and launched an investigation. With the help of CCTV cameras in the area, the officials traced Kamal in Warangal and arrested him. Kamal was remanded to custody and the investigation was continuing, police said.
