CM Revanth running scared, people angry at him: KTR
HYDERABAD: BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao on Monday alleged that Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy was running scared from the people “as he may be kicked by the public” that is angry with him and the Congress government. Rama Rao, addressing a gathering of autorickshaw drivers at Dharna Chowk near Indira Park, said the Chief Minister was also scared of his own police force and removed the special police from all security duties.
Revanth Reddy’s decisions have left all sections frustrated and there is anger in the public, Rama Rao added.
The protest organised by a joint action committee of drivers accused the government of hitting their earnings by offering free RTC bus travel to women. Rama Rao, who reached the venue in an autorickshaw, said the government promised `1,000 a month to autorickshaw drivers to help overcome the loss of earnings but this was yet to be implemented.
The BRS was not against free travel for women but wanted the government to address the problems of autorickshaw drivers, he said. “Instead of Rs 1,000 we would like to see the government give auto drivers Rs 5,000 a month,” he said and added that the government must accept their demand of implementing third party insurance for their vehicles.
