Hyderabad: BJP OBC Morcha president Dr K. Laxman charged that the Congress government in the state was not having funds to extend Rythu Bandhu benefits but it had enough money to send its leaders on 25 foreign tours in the 10 months since coming to power.

In a statement here on Sunday, Dr Laxman said that although over one crore people had responded to the ambitiously carved out ‘Abhaya Hastham Scheme’, the government is maintaining silence on its implementation.

“The farmers have hit the roads for Rythu Bharosa, students for fee reimbursement and Gurukul teacher applicants for filling up of backlog posts. Is this the ‘praja palana’ of Revanth Reddy?” Laxman asked.

He said that people in uniform staging protests is unprecedented in the country’s history. The unemployment rate in the state is way above the national average, which expose the Congress government’s false claims and bogus promises, Dr Laxman said.
