Siddipet: Congress workers at midnight on Friday ransacked BRS MLA T. Harish Rao’s camp office in Siddipet, damaging flexi boards and other furniture in the office.

Watchmen at the camp office tried to prevent them, but in vain. Congress workers were irked by Harish Rao not resigning as MLA after implementation of the crop loan waiver scheme as he had promised.

Police rushed to the spot and dispersed the crowds. Harish Rao alleged that Congress goons had attacked his camp office in Siddipet. The incident showed the extent of lawlessness and the DGP should take necessary action immediately, he said on his ‘X’ handle. Congress workers broke locks and vandalised public property, he added.

BRS activists took out a rally at Siddipet on Saturday protesting the Congress attack on the MLA’s camp office. The rally was conducted from the camp office to Ambedkar circle in the town.

BRS leaders and activists wore black badges and raised slogans against the Congress government. They also burnt the effigy of Chief Minister A.Revanth Reddy. The BRS activists damaged the Congress flexis in Siddipet.
