Nizamabad: Additional director general of police Dr Anil Kumar urged newly-recruited police constables to discharge their duties as exemplary citizens of society. Speaking at the Dikshant Parade held on Thursday at the Nizamabad Commissionerate Training Centre in Jankampet, Yedapally mandal, he emphasised that the public closely observes the conduct of police personnel. “With this in mind, constables should work diligently and strive to be role models,” he said.
The constables completed nine months of rigorous training at the centre. Dr Anil Kumar complimented parents for encouraging their children to join the police force.
He noted that graduates and post-graduates who have joined as constables should excel in their roles. “Police duty demands discipline and sacrifice, and Telangana Police is held in high regard across the country. It is now the responsibility of the new recruits to uphold and enhance this reputation,” he added.
The event was attended by in-charge commissioner of police Ch. Sindhu Sharma, CTC principal B. Koteshwar Rao, vice-principal Syed Masthan Ali, CTC unit doctor Sarala, other police officers, and the families of the newly-graduated constables.
