Court Grants Three Day Police Custody of CCS ACP

Hyderabad: The Nampally court on Tuesday granted the ACB three-day custody of Hyderabad CCS ACP T.S. Umamaheswara Rao, for questioning in the illegal assets case. The ACB would take custody of the accused officer from the Chanchalguda prison on Wednesday. He was arrested on May 22.

The ACB filed a petition seeking a week-long police custody of rao for questioning in connection with the assets case. The ACB officials informed the court that they had seized a huge amoung of cash and documents related to immovable properties and needed to cross-check the details with the sources of income of Umamaheswara Rao.

After hearing the arguments, the court granted custody for three days. The ACB would produce Umamaheswara before the court on Friday.
