Hyderabad: BRS MLC K. Kavitha, former chief minister K. Chandrashekar Rao's daughter, collapsed due to ill-health at the Tihar jail and was shifted to Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital in Delhi and provided medical assistance. The 46-year-old leader was brought back to prison after undergoing some tests at the hospital, sources said.
It was reported that Kavitha was suffering from cold and fever for two days. PTI reported sources as saying that she was suffering from gynaecological problems.
Kavitha has been lodged in the Tihar jail for four months after she was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) officials on March 15 in Hyderabad and shifted to Delhi in connection with Delhi liquor case. Earlier this month, the Delhi High Court had denied her bail in the money laundering and corruption cases linked to the alleged liquor scam.
