Doctor Arrested for Negligence in Mailardevpally Patient Death

Hyderabad: The Mailardevpally police registered a case of death due to negligence against one Dr Anwar Ahmed on Saturday and arrested him, following the death of a patient.

Police said that Dr Ahmed at a polyclinic at Mailardevpally had administered an injection to Arun Das Korade, who fell unconscious. His daughter Priya Das rushed Korade rushed to a hospital where the doctors declared him dead.

Arun Das on August 21 had consulted Dr Ahmed for severe body pains and was given pain-killers. He returned on Friday with similar complaints, after which Dr Ahmed administered the injection.

Hyderabad: A 34-year-old RPF constable, Pavan Kumar, died by suicide in the RPF A Company administration building, Malkajgiri police said. Police said Kumar, a UP native, was disturbed after a tiff with his girlfriend, and had not attended the roll call on Friday.

History-Sheeter Murdered After Drunken Brawl

Hyderabad: A 24-year-old history-sheeter was murdered over financial disputes after a drunken brawl at Addagutta, KPHB police said on Saturday night. Police identified the accused as Mohammed Hassan and the victim P. Dattu, water supplier to a hostel. After the Dattu fell unconscious, he was rushed to a hospital where he was declared dead.
