HYDERABAD: Two undergraduate students from Chakali Ailamma Women’s College, Koti, were injured in stray dog-related incidents on campus.

“One of the students was coming out of the washroom in a hostel when a dog jumped at her. She wasn’t bitten but fell down and injured herself. She required stitches because of the fall,” said Krishnaji Rao, an official from the college.

He added, “Stray dogs are a recurring issue on campus. We keep calling the municipal corporation's dog-catching unit, but whenever they arrive, the dogs either run away or hide.”

The injured students were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. Images shared on social media show injuries to their face and ear. College authorities informed municipal officials to take action against the stray dogs.
