Don't politicise Telangana Thalli statue, urges Kunamneni

Hyderabad: CPI MLA Kunamneni Sambasiva Rao remarked that the presence of BRS Party leaders in the House would have been beneficial. Discussing the Telangana Thalli statue, he stated that it was not designed according to the desires of BRS leaders but was crafted with the input of artists, poets, and intellectuals. He suggested that it would have been better if the opinions of MLAs were also considered.
Kunamneni cautioned that history would not forget if the Telangana Thalli statue becomes a point of political contention. He emphasised that everyone played a role in achieving statehood for Telangana and urged that the unveiling of the statue should be a non-partisan event.
He challenged the opposition by asking, "Is it wrong to officially design the Telangana Thalli statue?" He concluded by stressing that the statue should embody the essence of a mother, which is everyone's aim.
