Hyderabad: The Telangana Food Safety Department's raids at Rameshwaram Café and Baahubali Kitchen in Madhapur on Thursday, found expired food items, improper storage, unhygienic conditions, and a lack of proper documentation.
Rameshwaram Café:
• Expired stock seized:
 100 Kg Urad Dal
 10 Kg Nandini Curd
 8 Litres Milk (worth Rs. 700)
• Improperly labelled items seized:
 450 Kg Raw Rice

20 Kg White Lobia (worth Rs. 26,000)

• Unlabelled food seized:
 300 Kg Jaggery (worth Rs. 30,000)
• Other violations:
 Medical Fitness Certificates for Food Handlers unavailable
 Dustbins not properly covered
Baahubali Kitchen:
• Serious hygiene issues:
Synthetic Food Colours found and discarded
Heavy cockroach infestation in kitchen and on food items
No Pest Control Records
Unhygienic kitchen with stagnant water
Improper storage of semi-prepared and raw food
Medical Fitness Certificates for Food Handlers not found
FSSAI License True Copy not displayed
