HYDERABAD: A flight to Tirupati carrying 66 passengers was forced to return to Hyderabad due to a technical glitch. Alliance Air’s 9I 877 took off from the Shamshabad airport at 6.12 am on Tuesday and returned at 8.17 am, leaving passengers confused.

The airline cited a technical glitch and later abruptly cancelled the flight.
Passenger Mogulla Raj Reddy said he had planned important engagements in Tirupati but had to cancel it. Speaking about the incident, Raj Reddy said, “As soon as we landed back at Hyderabad airport, I made a video of the confused passengers. There was no message about the cancellation for a prolonged period, which added to the chaos.”
On August 30, a SpiceJet flight to Tirupati was also cancelled due to technical reasons.
