Get trade licence by Jan. 31: GHMC

Hyderabad:The GHMC said it had introduced a cess for the Telangana Green Fund. Traders renewing their licence or applying for a new one will need to pay an extra 10 per cent of the fee if it is up to `5,000, or a fixed amount of `1,000 for licences above `5,000.



The GHMC has asked traders to renew their trade licences for 2025 by January 31 to avoid penalties. The licence will be renewed automatically upon payment of the renewal fee. Traders can renew their licences online or at any Mee-Seva Center/CSC in the GHMC head office and the GHMC circle offices.

Those who fail to renew their licences by January 31 will be fined, the GHMC said. The penalty amounts are: 25 per cent of the fee if the renewal is done between February 1 and March 31 and a 50 per cent if done after April 1.

Traders operating without a license will be imposed a 100 per cent additional penalty at the time of identification, followed by a fine of 10 per cent every month until they obtain a trade license. For more information, traders can visit the GHMC website at www.ghmc.gov.in.
