GHIAL hosts horticulture show PushpUtsav’25 at Shamshabad airport
Hyderabad: GMR Hyderabad International Airport Limited (GHIAL) on Friday hosted its first-ever horticulture show, PushpUtsav’25. Planned from January 10 to January 12 at the Aero Plaza, Car Park Level, near the Passenger Terminal Building, the event was inaugurated by senior officials from GHIAL marking a significant milestone in the airport's efforts to enhance the overall visitor experience through innovative and engaging initiatives.
PushpUtsav’25 aimed to create a unique airport experience by showcasing the horticulture expertise of GHIAL. The event brought together flower, horticulture, and nature enthusiasts to enjoy a vibrant display of various flowering plants and floral arrangements, including seasonal flowers, chrysanthemums, dahlias, roses, bonsais, ikebana, and cut-flowers.
The three-day event will feature competitive categories and display exhibits, attracting a diverse audience of gardening enthusiasts, families, tourists, local residents, students, floral designers, and horticulturists. The competitions included categories such as seasonal flowering plants, chrysanthemums, dahlias, roses, ikebana arrangements, and cut-flowers, with prizes awarded based on criteria like cleanliness, disease-free plants, number of blooms, and overall appearance.
Speaking on occasion, Pradeep Panicker, CEO, GMR Hyderabad International Airport Ltd said, “Today marks a significant milestone for GMR Hyderabad International Airport as we inaugurate PushpUtsav’25, our maiden horticulture show.
