GHMC and Additional Collectors Call for Faster Action on Public Issues
Hyderabad: GHMC commissioner K. Ilambarithi has directed officials to speed up the process of addressing complaints received during the Prajavani programme. He was participating in the programme at the GHMC headquarters here
The GHMC received 126 applications, including 46 at the GHMC head office. The commissioner directed the respective department officials to process the complaints immediately. The town planning department topped with 21 complaints, followed by the health and FA departments (five each), and electrical (four). The others pertained to sports, housing, and maintenance. Three complaints were received in the phone-in programme.
The Kukatpally zone recorded the highest number of grievances at 33. The Khairatabad zone did not receive any complaints.
The Hyderabad district collectorate received 208 applications, primarily related to housing (166), followed by pension issues (14), and district-level matters, including education and employment. Additional collectors Kadhiravan Palani and G. Mukundha Reddy also instructed the officials to speed up the process of resolving these issues.
