GHMC Gives Devices to 3K Disabled People

Hyderabad: On International Day of Persons with Disabilities, the GHMC distributed 7,576 assistive devices worth Rs.3.15 crore to 3,619 beneficiaries across 30 circles. During the event, 81 beneficiaries received 99 devices, including wheelchairs, adjustable walking sticks, digital hearing aids and tricycles.

Officials stressed the importance of self-reliance through specific planning, perseverance, and courage and MLA Danam Nagender encouraged people with disabilities to remain motivated, overcome challenges and take advantage of government welfare schemes.
