Goli Srinivas Reddy Is Telangana Food Commission Chairman

 Hyderabad: The government appointed Goli Srinivas Reddy chairman of the Telangana Food Commission on Saturday. He replaces Govardhan Reddy who was the chairman in-charge. The other members of the commission include V. Anand, Govardhan Reddy, R. Sharada, M. Bharathi and B. Jyothi.

KRMB gets a new chairman

Atul Jain, a senior officer in the Central Water Commission will be the new chairman of the Krishna River Management Board, the CWC has announced. Jain replaces Sivanandan Kumar following the latter’s retirement on June 30. The board is vested with the responsibility of taking decisions on sharing of water from River Krishna by Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.

Osmania University Starts Weekly Yoga Sessions

The University College of Commerce & Business Management at Osmania University, Hyderabad, has commenced weekly yoga sessions every Saturday from 5 pm to 5.30 pm, following a request of the staff and students. This initiative is led by college principal, Sr Prof. D. Sreeramulu.

The inaugural session saw enthusiastic participation from students, faculty, and staff. Yoga instructor Bhavana S., a second-year MBA student at the college, conducted the session. She began by explaining the essence of yogic exercises and their impact on individual health. Following the briefing, Bhavana demonstrated various asanas and introduced participants to fundamental asanas.

Prof. Sreeramulu, along with vice-principals, deans, heads and chairpersons of departments, faculty members, the assistant registrar, staff and students participated in the session, according to a statement.
