Governor Hails Medak Church for its Century Long Services
Medak: Governor Jishnu Dev Varma on Sunday lauded the Cathedral Church in Medak for its century-long services in education, healthcare, and spiritual guidance. Participating in the church’s centenary celebrations, he highlighted the Christian community’s contributions to humanity in the Telangana region.
“The Medak Church was built during difficult times and extended a helping hand to those in need,” the Governor noted.
Governor Varma took part in special prayers and met with church leaders. Emphasising the importance of spreading love, he quoted the teachings of Jesus Christ. He expressed delight at being part of the 100-year celebrations of the Medak Cathedral Church.
Medak MP M. Raghunandan Rao, MLAs Mynampalli Rohith Rao and Sunitha Laxma Reddy, MLC Sheri Subhash Reddy, and Governor’s secretary Dana Kishore were among those present.
Following the event, the Governor visited Kolparam Social Welfare Girls’ Residential School, where he interacted with students to learn about their living conditions and facilities. He also had lunch with them and instructed officials to ensure the children’s routine remains undisturbed, urging them to prioritise the students’ welfare.
