Hyderabad: Former minister and BRS MLA from Siddipet T. Harish Rao on Saturday said the state government has disappointed youth appearing for various competitive exams in the state by not discussing unemployment issues, and giving of jobs at the Friday’s Cabinet meeting.

In a letter to Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, Harish Rao said the unemployed youths were looking forward to some decisions being taken at the Cabinet meeting but their hopes were dashed.

“The Congress government promised two lakh jobs in one year and also said it will issue a job calendar, and there was no progress on either of these promises so far. There has been no word on the promised unemployment allowance of Rs 4,000 per month and students and youths preparing for various Groups exams are facing severe financial stress. I urge you to at least now take steps to do justice to the youths and keep the promises made by you,” Harish Rao said.
