He said capping the relief at rs 10,000 per acre for crop loss and Rs 16,500 for loss of homes, belongings and livelihood Was grossly inadequate.

Harish Rao sought Rs 25 lakh to each of the families of those who died, Rs 2 lakh for housesdestroyed, Rs 10 lakh who lost homes, Rs 1 lakh per head of livestock lost, Rs 5 lakh for small traders along with providing interest free loans to help them recover.

In another release he alleged the government had cut the share of Singareni workers’ profits by 50 per cent. SCCL had distributed `710 crore as bonus, amounting to 32 per cent of profits in 2022-23. It earned a profit of Rs 4,701 crore in 2023-24 and the staff should have received Rs 1,550 crore.
