Borabanda: Couple Arrested For Killing Auto Driver After Honey Trap

Hyderabad: Police have arrested a couple accused of honey trapping and killing an auto driver in March 2023. The couple murdered the driver suspecting him of kidnapping and attempting to assault their daughter.

According to the case details, the husband and wife, residing in Jagadgirigutta hatched a plan to trap the auto driver, Kumar (30), who lived in Nizamapet. The couple's daughter(7) was kidnapped by the auto driver and taken to a room in Yousufguda, where he allegedly tried to assault her. She managed to escape and was later found by the police. Upon questioning, Police was told that she was an orphan and was sent to a special home. Meanwhile, the couple searched for their daughter but failed to locate her.

The parents later checked their daughter's laptop, which had been purchased during the COVID period for online classes. They found a Snapchat contact linked to Kumar, the auto driver, and suspected him of the kidnapping. The couple created a Snapchat ID and set a trap for him. They convinced him to meet them in Madhapur, where they confronted him about their daughter. When Kumar claimed that their daughter had escaped, they attacked him.

They then drove him to Suryapet and threw his body tied with a stone into the Nagarjuna Sagar Left Canal. Kumar was reported missing in a case filed by his family in Borabanda. Later, when the daughter reunited with her parents, they discovered that the auto driven by Kumar was being used by the car driver. Kumar's relatives then approached the police after recognizing the vehicle.
