Hyderabad: 20-yr-student dies in road mishap

 Hyderabad: A 20-year-old student died in a road accident after being hit by a biker and was run over by a speeding car in Saroornagar on Wednesday.

The accident took place at Manda Mallamma crossroads around 9 am when Gubbala Trisha was crossing the road, according to the police. “Trisha was crossing the road when a bike driven recklessly struck her. The impact left her unconscious. Later a speeding car ran over her, causing fatal head injuries,” the police said.

“Trisha, a third-year diploma student of Maturi Venkata Subba Rao Engineering College was on her way to the college when the accident occurred. She was a resident of New Maruthinagar in Karmanghat and a native of Nagarkurnool district,” the police added.

Police have registered a case and are working to identify the bike rider and car driver responsible for the accident. Following the postmortem at OGH, the body was handed over to her family members.
