Hyderabad: 35-year-old woman found murdered at her residence

Hyderabad:  A 35-year-old woman was found murdered at her residence in Narsareddy Colony, Hydershakot, early on Tuesday, Narsingi police said. The police suspected that someone known to the victim was involved in the murder.

Police said the victim, Mogulamma, was found with a cloth tied around her neck. Police, called to the spot by locals, said that preliminary investigation suggested that the victim might have been involved in an altercation with the accused.
Pani puri vendor dies of electric shock in Malkajgiri
Hyderabad: A pani puri vendor died due to an electric shock at his stall located near the Malkajgiri police station late on Monday night. Police identified the victim as Anjaneyulu, 40.
Police said he had closed the stall at about 9.30 pm in Monday but returned to collect his mobile phone which he had forgotten. While attempting to pick up his phone, he accidentally came into contact with an exposed electric wire.
Locals called his son, Thatthari Bharath Kumar, 20, and the police and shifted Anjanayulu to a hospital where the doctors declared him dead. Malkajgiri police have registered a case of death under suspicious circumstances. Anjaneyulu, a resident of Chintalbasti, is survived by his wife and two sons.
School principal booked for misbehaving with girl students
Hyderabad: The Kushaiguda police on Tuesday booked a school principal for allegedly misbehaving and sexually harassing girl students. Irate parents assaulted the principal, B. Narender Rao, 45, following which he was hospitalised for treatment of his injuries.
According to the police, five students from Class 10 complained to their parents about the harassment by Narender Rao. They stated that during study hours, the principal would touch them inappropriately.
One of the parents said, "This has been going on for 10 days. When they could not tolerate it anymore, the children complained to us.”
He claimed that the students had been alerted to the principal’s alleged behaviour by others. “He threatens students that he will not issue hall tickets if they complain,” the parent said.
The parents went to the school to confront the principal but were not allowed entry. At this, they barged into the office and assaulted Narender Rao.
Police said the principal had been booked for stalking and sexual harassment under the BNS and under the Pocso Act. He was not arrested since he was undergoing treatment.
