Hyderabad: 7 Members of 2 Inter-state Ganja Peddler Gangs Held

 Hyderabad: The South-west Task Force on Sunday arrested six members of two interstate gangs and seized 164kg of ganja and other materials worth Rs 51 lakh from their possession. Police also seized three cars, a bike and seven mobile phones from them.

In first case, three interstate ganja peddlers were caught red-handed near Arabian Food Corner, Paramount Colony, Road No. 86, Hakeempet, Tolichowki on Sunday. The accused were identified as Dharavath Ravi (41), Syed Bahadur and Ananda Ramaji Kadam.

During interrogation, Dharavath Ravi, revealed he traveled to Muchumput

village in Odisha where he purchased 32 packets of ganja totaling 100kg.

The accused loaded the contraband into a Hyundai Accent car and headed towards Hyderabad.

In a separate case, police arrested four members of another interstate gang and seized 64 kg of ganja, a Santro car, a Swift Desire car, a Splendour bike and three mobile phones from their possession.

The accused were identified as Shaik Parwez, Abdul Rawoof and Mohammed Anwar and Kishan Bagh.
