Hyderabad: The IMD has issued a weather forecast for Hyderabad and surrounding districts, predicting continued rainfall in the coming days. The weather is expected to remain generally cloudy with intermittent rain or thundershowers throughout the week, with the heaviest rainfall anticipated on August 24 and 25.

The ongoing cyclonic circulation over Rayalaseema and a trough extending from the Arabian Sea to the Comorin area are contributing to these weather conditions.

With the city and state bracing for continued downpours, authorities have urged residents to remain cautious, particularly in flood-prone areas. The GHMC has advised people to avoid unnecessary travel and to stay indoors. The Hussainsagar lake and other reservoirs are being closely monitored for any potential overflows.
