Hyderabad Crimes: Vegetable Seller Held for Raping 5-Year-Old

 Hyderabad: A five-year-old girl was allegedly raped by a vegetable seller in Jawaharnagar. Police apprehended the accused Paramesh Yadav, 30, who is a native of Uttar Pradesh and resides in Arundhatinagar, on Tuesday.

Yadav moved to the city a year ago and has been making a living by selling vegetables. The victim's family has been residing in the same vicinity for six years and the parents work as daily wage labourers.

The victim's mother has noticed her daughter being inactive and downhearted. The victim did not respond to the mother’s questioning as she was threatened by the accused. Eventually, the mother learnt that the little girl was raped by the vegetable seller. She filed a complaint with the police and the accused was detained immediately and remanded by the court.

The accused, in the pretext of offering her chocolates, allegedly took the minor to his place and raped her. He also threatened the victim, who was already in shock, not to reveal the incident to her family and he would kill her parents if she talked to them about the incident.

Man booked for sexually assaulting 5-year-old

A man was arrested by the Jawaharnagar police for sexually assaulting a five-year-old girl. The 30-year-old accused was sexually assaulting the victim at her house.

Based on a complaint filed by the victim’s parents, the accused, who is a native of Gorakhpur in Uttar Pradesh, was booked under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (Pocso).

However, police have not disclosed his arrest, officially.

The victim’s parents settled in the city five years ago and were working as daily wagers, police sources said.

Realtor murdered over financial dispute

A 37-year-old realtor was brutally murdered by a man at his office in Hayathnagar in the early hours of Tuesday. The accused B. Shekhar unlawfully entered the office of Sanjay Constructions in Bhagyalakshmi Nagar.

After having a heated argument with the owner of the company Y. Kashi Rao, Shekhar cut slit his throat and fled the scene, said P. Nagraj Goud, SHO of Hayathnagar.

According to police, Shekhar had borrowed Rs 3.60 lakh from the victim. After Kashi Rao insisted on returning his money, Shekhar slit his throat with a knife, killing him on the spot, police said.

Police have arrested the accused and are yet to disclose the arrest officially. The victim’s body has been shifted to Osmania General Hospital mortuary for postmortem and later handed over to his family members for his last rites.

Watchman Killed in Hit-and-Run Accident

A 43-year-old man died after allegedly being hit by a lorry in the KPHB police station area at around 3.45 am on Tuesday.

The victim, Salega Ramesh, 43, was working as a watchman at a software company in Gachibowli. His wife Salega Bharathi, 42, filed the complaint with the police. The couple was living in Gajularamaram, Kukatpally.

Ramesh was returning from his work at night. Near KPHB, a lorry driver, allegedly driving the vehicle in a rash manner, hit the two-wheeler. As a result, Ramesh suffered a head injury and died on the spot. When the deceased’s wife, Bharathi, learnt about the incident, she reached out to the police, who registered a case under Section 106 of the BNS. Police shifted the body of the victim to the mortuary for postmortem.

Rowdy Sheeter Attacks Elderly Pilgrim

A rowdy sheeter attacked an elderly Umrah pilgrim who had recently returned from Mecca.

According to the police, the victim Ameeduddin, a resident of Tolichowki, was badly beaten up on Tuesday by the accused Md Shakir.

The rowdy sheeter, riding on a bike intercepted Ameeduddin, who was crossing the road and suddenly started blowing punches on him amidst the public at Nanalnagar nala, Tolichowki crossroads.

The locals informed the Filmnagar police, who arrived at the spot and recorded the statement of the victim. The police identified Shakir through the CCTV cameras installed in the area.

The police suspect financial disputes as a reason for the attack. A special team has been set up to arrest Shakir.
