Hyderabad: Director General of Police (DGP) Ravi Gupta on Saturday appreciated the work of Banjara Hills traffic police assistant sub-inspector Bhagender Singh and constables Raghava Chary and Mohd Irshad Ali in resolving a traffic challan issue of a woman motorist.

On July 1, Singh was posted at a supermarket near the traffic police station when an elderly lady approached him and inquired about a pending e-challan against her for wrong side driving at Agrasen Island.

Singh invited her to the police station, offered her a seat and a glass of water. Constables Irshad Ali and Raghava Chary verified the details and said that the e-challan had been generated erroneously.

They assured the motorist that they would sent an email to the e-challan centre for deletion of the penalty.

The senior citizen felt happy at the reception, courteous behaviour and prompt action of the personnel and narrated her experience to the DGP. Ravi Gupta on Saturday gave reward certificates to the police personnel besides a cash reward in recognition of their good conduct.
